Know Your Customer (KYC)

Know Your Customer or KYC is the mandatory process of identifying and verifying the identity of the customer when opening an account and periodically over time.   A KYC check is mandatory for all banks and financial institutions. KYC checks are done to help prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, theft, etc.

MuniciPAY can accept any of the following to fulfill the KYC check:

• Signers date of birth and home address
• Copy of signers driver’s license
• Notarized Affidavit of Identity from the Township/Municipality verifying the signer
